The fireworks finale for the Battle of Flowers is still going ahead despite fire safety concerns.

A Northern California couple was days from welcoming their baby when a firework was thrown through the window of their house and set fire to the nursery. Three juveniles have been arrested.

Jersey Fire and Rescue Service has advised people to avoid displays while the risk is high.
